Designer Jewelry Inspired by History
Shashi started designing the jewelry featured in our store in 1966. Many of his first designs were inspired by historical pieces (art nouveau and deco styles pieces were well represented in his first line) but not exact reproductions thereof. By far the largest source of our designs is the inspiration and artistry of our jewelry designers. Shashi, Laurel Burch and Kim Ericson have all contributed their respective talents to our original designs.
Replicas and Reproductions
A selection of designs which are replicas of jewelry from museums and collections the world over.
Represented in our collection are exact reproductions of works housed in famed cultural institutions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and The British Museum in London, The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, The J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu and The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.
Also represented here is jewelry from Private Collections (both our own permanent collection and other private collections) and works from lesser known and local museums. Learn more about the jewelry museums which inspire us in The Blog of Jewelry.
