Peter Carl Faberge's masterfully ornate Easter eggs were created from 1884-1917 for Russian czars to give as presents to their wives and mothers. Egg jewelry soon became the rage across the European continent. These lavishly ornate spheres showcase three clusters of cabochon garnets on a swirling background of blue and green enamel work.
