The bull is sacred and revered in many cultures. In Cyprus archeologists have uncovered bull masks made from real skulls which were worn in rites. Corresponding bull-masked terra cotta figurines show them in use. Neolithic bull-horns sometimes decorated stone altars. And bull jewelry such as this Cypriot artifact from the Met Museum adorned the ancients.
Reproduction of a magnificent Cypriot gold pendant, a bull head is decorated with tiny graduated spheres. Design dates to approximately 1400 BC. Pendant measure 1.25" tall, 1.25" wide, .25" deep. Paired with 16" chain of matching metal - or a black bolo chain for brass.
