In 1979, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo offered lots of 'mummy beads', both long and short, by the kilogram. In ancient Egypt these Egyptian faience beads were commonly used to make jewelry for the living and the dead, hence their name.

Our take on the Mummy Bead Necklace repurposes antique three thousand year old turquoise, red, brown, and yellow faience beads into a beautiful necklace hand-made by Egyptian artists. Please note that the styles shown is a sample from our collection - bead colors will vary. Extremely limited quantities available.

Approximately 120 short beads and 300 long beads on this six stranded multi-strand necklace. About 28" long.
