Faience Mummy Bead Strand
In 1979, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo offered lots of 'mummy beads', both long and short, by the kilogram. In ancient Egypt these faience beads were commonly used to make jewelry for the living and the dead, hence their name.
Our Mummy Bead Strand repurposes three thousand year old turquoise, red, brown, and yellow faience beads sourced from Egypt some forty years ago into strands hand-made by Egyptian artists. Please note that the styles shown is a sample from our collection - bead color and styles will vary. Extremely limited quantities available.
