The goddess Isis, with a sun disc over her head and elaborate wings spread. Isis was known as the goddess of the moon, life, and magic in Egyptian mythology. She protected women and children, and healed the sick. Closely linked to the throne, she was one of the greatest deities of Ancient Egypt.
The revival earrings here are vintage stock from the 1970's - they were designed by the late artist Laurel Burch and crafted by hand. These earrings are cast from silver plated brass and measure about 2 1/2 inches tall including ear wires.
