Vintage Shashi Purple Scarab Earrings

This over 3000 year old design is work of timeless elegance. It is exact replica of an ancient Egyptian design from the Egyptian Museum of Cairo, these enamel on copper cloisonné earrings picture scarabs in a beautifully detailed geometric design. Lever backs ear wires for pierced ears. Size 1 1/2 Inches including the earwire. 

The Shashi earrings offered here are vintage stock from the 1970's and 1980's. They were designed by the Shashi Singapuri, crafted by hand, and were part of a line featured on the cover of vogue (quite a handful of times) and numerous other fashion magazines.
