Vintage Shashi Cornflower Earrings

Cornflowers were revered by the ancient egyptians, and cornflower motifs often decorate their art. These enamel on copper cloisonné earrings illustrate the cornflower bud in a beautifully detailed geometric design. French backs ear wires for pierced ears. Size 2 Inches tall.

The Shashi earrings offered here are vintage stock from the 1970's and 1980's. They were designed by the Shashi Singapuri, crafted by hand, and were part of a line featured on the cover of vogue (quite a handful of times) and numerous other fashion magazines.
